Moms always yelled at us every morning to make our beds before heading off to school. 'I don't have time!' I'd say, even though it probably takes less than five minutes. Little did I know that something so simple can start your day off on the right foot, increase daily productvity, reduce stress, and result in better sleep. Accomplishing this one thing results in a chain reaction of other small successes throughout the day that ultimately create a much larger impact. A tidy space fosters a tidy mind.
How To Tuck In Your Sheets Perfectly Every Single Time - The Hospital Corner
1. With your fitted sheet already on the mattress, lay the flat sheet on top hanging evenly on all sides.
2. Slightly lift your mattress and tuck in the hanging fabric along the foot of the bed. There should now be excess fabric at hanging at each end corner.
3. Grab hold of the excess fabric. Lift it up and lay it over the top of the mattress. The edge of the sheet should form a 45 degree angle with the corner of your mattress.
4. Hold the fabric forming the 45 degree angle. Tuck in hanging fabric fabric along the side of the mattress and let the sheet fall.
5. Adjust the edge of the sheet to the corner of the mattress and tuck in.
6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 on the remaining corner.
7. Continue make your bed by placing your comforter or duvet on top, and add any decorative pillows and throw blankets to make it even more cozy.
